Autumn at THE PIG
Slowing down as it should be. No rush, no fuss.

Mist-coated fields, crackling fires and flavour-packed comfort… autumn is one of our favourite times around the table.
Our Kitchen Gardeners are hauling in the Gardener’s Gold from our veg patches – pumpkins, purple sage, celeriac and cabbages – and our menus turn to creamy risottos with hearty roasted squash, caramelised fruits tucked into jammy tarts and golden crumbles. The kind of dishes that bring everyone together and make you linger a little longer.
Hunker down at our house
This special season comes just once a year – and there is so much of it to soak up across THE PIGs. From the ancient practice of pannage, where litters of pigs can be seen grazing on fallen acorns under sprawling oak trees (a rarity that can only be found in two places in the world), to earthy, fragrant truffles at their delicious best waiting to be discovered in the woods.
Escape the noise of the city and embrace the calm of the countryside with our intimate, autumnal experiences across our country houses.

Tuck Up & Tuck In
Hunker down from frosty fresh air in cosy, fireside corners, wake up to long lie-ins with no alarms and a warm hearty breakfast, from freshly baked pastries and just-laid eggs from our hens to the all-important PIG-fry up.
We take rest seriously – so escape to your favourite PIG this autumn, with an impossibly comfy night’s sleep and a great breakfast all wrapped up into one great getaway.

Breathing space
We like to take time to savour the good stuff round at our place – and you deserve to do the same. Autumn really does invite you wind down and soak up your surroundings, without the busy hum of holidaymakers or rush hours – just you and plenty of fresh air, putting one foot in front of the other.
From leafy trails through the woods to coastal paths on wild open headlands, there are plenty of hidden gems to be discovered on our doorstep this season… and we’ll have the fires lit and your favourite tipple waiting for you when you come back home.
